The two sizes of target (3.0in and 2.1in) provide versatility in using this product. Softball players or beginner baseball players will benefit from using the larger one - slightly larger than a standard baseball - as it serves as a smaller target for softball players, and a larger-than-standard target for beginner baseball players. More advanced baseball (and softball) players can progress onto the smaller size. Once the smaller-than-standard size is mastered, hitting a standard ball in a game situation becomes easier, allowing for more focus on target control and power.
